What to Expect During Your First Visit

Your first visit to our clinic is an essential step toward better foot and ankle health. Here’s what you can expect during your appointment with us:

Check-In

Upon arrival, our friendly front desk team will assist you with the check-in process. If you’ve completed your new patient paperwork ahead of time, make sure to bring it along for a faster check-in. Bring a list of any medications, supplements, or over-the-counter treatments you’re currently taking. If you’ve seen other healthcare providers for your foot or ankle concerns, bring relevant medical records or diagnostic results.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Our podiatrist will perform a thorough evaluation to understand your condition, address your concerns, and identify potential treatment options. This may include a physical exam, medical history review, and any necessary diagnostic tests such as X-rays.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on the findings from your evaluation, your provider will develop a custom treatment plan designed to alleviate pain, treat the underlying issue, and restore your mobility. Depending on your condition, our podiatry doctor may need to examine your feet and ankles up to your knees. Please wear clothing that makes this area accessible.

Open Communication

We encourage you to ask questions and share any concerns you may have during your visit. Our team is here to provide clear explanations and ensure you feel confident about your care.

Important Insurance Information

We understand that health insurance can be complex, so we’re here to make the process as easy as possible for you.

Accepted Insurance Plans

West Texas Foot & Ankle Associates accepts a wide range of insurance plans. Please contact us before your visit to confirm that we accept your provider.

Co-Pays and Coverage

Co-pays and out-of-pocket costs depend on your specific insurance plan. Our staff will verify your benefits ahead of your appointment and provide clarity on what to expect in terms of payment.

No Insurance?

If you don’t have insurance, we’re happy to discuss self-pay options and payment plans to help make your care affordable.
