Radial Shockwave Therapy

Radial Shockwave Therapy
for Patients in Midland, Odessa, TX & the Surrounding Areas

West Texas Foot & Ankle is now offering radial shockwave therapy, or RST. This revolutionary treatment can help to improve chronic musculoskeletal conditions without the use of surgery. There aren’t even any injections involved! It’s a fast, 5-minute procedure that uses radial shockwaves through a handheld device. The waves move through your body and increase blood flow, as well as an increase in the number of blood vessels. This creates a better environment for your body to naturally repair its own tissues. Best of all, RST has an effect on the body’s pain sensors, which results in localized pain relief.

What Conditions Can RST Help?

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Achilles tendinopathy (pain & swelling of the Achilles tendon)
  • Shoulder/rotator cuff tendinopathy

Are There Any Side Effects?

Side effects can be seen 1 to 2 days following treatment, and can last for 5 to 10 days. They include redness, swelling, pain, and bruising.
